Surviving RSV

Yes my kids were some of the unfortunate ones who came down with RSV. Mak came through it like a pro and was just super super sick for 4 or 5 days. Emmett was not quite as fortunate having lots of hospital visits, tests, breathing treatments, oxygen ect. It was miserable and i can honestly say there is nothing scarier in the world than little babies not being able to breath.
We mostly laid around, here they are laying in my bed watching elmo, not mak's fave, but definitely emmetts fave.
When we had watched all thirty thousand disney movies we read a LOT of books
It was really bizarre to see mak with a lack of energy, he had such a nasty fever he kept saying, "daddy come home and make me a smoothie because i am so hot." So we had a lot of Dave's famous smoothies.
We had a LOT of baths to bring down the fever.

Arguing over the ipod.
Getting home after being poked and tested at the doctor, and finally being able to breath. Emmett was such a little angel like always. A big part of this was trying to keep him from fussing because if he fussed he would cough and if he coughed he couldnt breath. The hospital was full of screaming children and i was so grateful for a little boy who was patient and loving and hardly fussed the entire time. The nurses loved him because even when he was blue and out of breath he was still smiling and giving loves.
in all we were very fortunate. It has been a terribley long week and a half but we saw a lot of much sicker babies. They were both such troopers through it all and i am so grateful that we are on the mend.
On another note, through the middle of this Emmett turned 6 months old, and as you can see he is so excited. We celebrated in style.... David being the awesome guy he is saw that I was a bit frazzled from our long week of being cooped up in the house or hospital, so he took us all to PIZZA HUT!!! yahoo to ten dollar pizza.
Emmett was super pumped for the first ten minutes laughing and spitting what he does best.
This is him five minutes later HAHA
Mak picking out his pizza. Supreme and extra veggies of course.
If you know mak you know he loves few things more than food. This is him begging for his pizza, everytime a waitress passed he would say, "please, please be my pizza."
Eyeing the prize.
What was left.
For your information.

The Things That Melt My Heart and Freeze My Feet

Last Sunday was a BEAUTIFUL day, we came home from church and David promised mak that after his nap he would get the bikes out and go for a ride. Being Idaho weather in a couple hours it plummeted 25 degrees and had begun to rain, but the first thing out of maks mouth when he woke up was "Go on bike ride with Daddy." So being the awesome Dad david is, the went out to the shed and unloaded the bikes. I stood in our drive way in the pouring freezing rain and watched how happy it made my boys.
Draggin out the bikes after a long winter in the shed.
I insist Emmett gets to do everything mak does, regardless of if he wants to. He was a sport like always and loved it.
Bundled up and ready to go.
If you look close you can see maks little face pressed up against the plastic, hes screaming "HEY MOMMY LOOK AT ME!!! I BEING EMMETT'S BUDDY!"
After, we boxed it out a little. haha
We paid for our fun later this week though, because both babies got sick. It was such a bummer to see both of them run down, but we are all feeling quite a bit better.

Drinking their pedialight and watchin shows, it was crazy to see them just laying around.

Life Is Good

Sometimes don't you just wish you could be a kid again. To be able to sit naked with your best buddy in the whole world. With your biology goggles, a tootsie pop and not a care in the world
