Our New Family Member

This is our new family member. Makray and Emmett lovingly named our Bearded Dragon BATMAN! He is 18 inches long, green, and poky. The little boys LOVE him. One of their most favorite cousins has a bearded dragon and they both have been begging for one for a while!

Now for those of you who say..."Whitney doesn't seem like much of a lizard person!" You couldn't be more RIGHT! I consider myself to be a pretty agreeable person and David and I see eye to eye on just about everything, but, I flat out said NO to our little friend coming to live with us not once, not twice, but three times... and I stand firm on my no snakey, scaley, slimy things in our house. I am not quite sure how it all happened... but the boys (especially David) are very very happy, so what can I do!!

Now on to some pictures that don't give you the creepy crawlies!
We have sure LOVED having David home so much. We don't know what to do with our new life and no school. We have spent a lot of time enjoying the spring weather. Violet LOVES riding in her stroller, which is shocking since she doesn't LOVE many things!

Happy Half

Oh how time flies! Violet is 6 month old and upon Mak's request we did have a little party for her!

I made her these little shoes... ok i make her a pair to go with every out fit but these are my faves so i had to blog 'em up!

Ok so I do this thing... i celebrate every tiny moment in my children's lives.... so here are ALL my kids on their 6 month birthdays!!!
MAK (
my super baby! Crawled a week later. He was a little demanding but SUPER adventurous)

EMMETT (My BIGGEST baby! He was so laid back and easy going. Never fussed or cried)
VIOLET!!
(My intense baby! The day she was born she was whisked off to the NICU, so i didn't really get to see her. My doctor came down while i was in Recovery and told me I had a "very intense little girl!" My heart skipped a beat, because like all mothers I was looking for the words HEALTHY baby.. but that wasn't in our deck of cards. But, intense is what she was. She screamed like no other baby.. which was shocking since her lungs were not functioning. They put her as far away from the other premies as possible... apparently she disturbed them:)! That is still her personality. She is intensely happy, intensely angry, intensely sweet, intensely sleepy. What ever she does, she does it all the way!)
The boys made her the cup cakes! Pink of course (with sprinkles)!

A few things about my girl!!!
-She is a whopping 13 pounds. Which puts her in the 8th percentile and 3 month clothing:)
-She enjoys having EVERYONES full attention.
-She is both my happiest and angriest baby! She laughs and smiles more than either of my boys did... but she howls more than double the boys combined!
-She is crazy about her bathes she love to play with emmett in the tub!
-She has made our lives full!

Its the Most Boring Time of the Year

I look back at all the posts I have done this time of year every year... and I realize that we are always up to the same thing... NOTHING. Like every February we are just waiting out spring and new fun stuff. So here is just an overload of pictures of us just hanging out. It is mostly for our Grandma and Grandpa who are away for a few months... we miss them terribly and want to show them how much we are growing!!!

We did have a fun Valentines Party with a few of our favorite friends. We are really grateful for good friendships during these long dreary cold months! I love this pic... because if you look close Emmett isn't even bothering to decorate he is just diving right into the cookies!
This is Kennedy ... Makray's true love. He more than adores this girl.. and when she told him that today was "I love you day." Mak didn't skip a beat in his reply "but Kennedy, I love you everyday!"
Emmett like always the dirty disaster! But so happy!
You can call me out all you would like on what is proper to feed a baby.. I REALLY could careless since a spoon full of pink frosting makes this girl oh so HAPPY!!!... Plus why should she miss out when there are 6 other little kids covered in it!!!
Our cousins from Arizona came to visit... which is always fun. I would like to note... there is nothing wrong with little Lowe's eye.. they were being pirates of course!

Our other little cousin Kingston... He is just three weeks younger than Violet...they weren't great friends yet but someday they will be!
This is one of my favorite pictures! Violet has made pouting an art form!
Some times we all play together really well... other times we don't ALL enjoy it... (again ....artfuly pouting)
Mak and Violet continue to be the best of buds... something i am really grateful for. Three little kids is messy and it is such a blessing that Violet thinks Mak is hilarious, and that Mak loves nothing more than to sit and play with his sissy!
Fun times in the tub! Violet loves taking baths... and I got to hand it to her... she seriously risks her life every time!
Happy sweet little kids!!!... these are long days.. but we are glad they are happy ones! We are so looking forward to the next step in our life. We are grateful that David was offered an excellent job in Boise starting this June. Words cannot express how proud of him I am. He has worked so hard for so long to make sure that we are all taken care of... I am so excited to start a new life with him in BOISE!!!

Tractors and Checkups

We have had a really busy and great week. Mike and Marsha took the boys for a couple of days and David and I really took advantage... staying up late and going out to dinner. It was a lot of fun for David to have some time to give 100% of his attention to Violet... and she loved it.
Also this week Grandpa Clyde was in town on Potato Business, so we of course went to see the Tractors at the Ag expo! Always a treat!

I was feeding Violet and an older gentleman came to sit with his. He said "there is nothing about you two that fits in a place like this!" I smiled and sat Violet up just in time for her to let one of her VERY MANLY Belches... Our new friend said "Oh, now you fit just fine!"
The boys just went crazy surrounded by all the MAN TOYS!
Also this week we had Violet's 5 month checkup! I was really shocked to find out she only weighed 11 and 1/2 pounds. She seems to grow every minute and I was sure she was beginning to catch up... so for now she is in the 8th percentile and we just love our tiny little bean!

Every day I watch her and admire her strength. Our hearts just haven't healed from her time in the hospital. I look at these pictures of her covered in tubes and needles and am so grateful that she is with us healthy and strong!

A few things about our little miss:
1. She sleeps 13 hours at night and is FINALLY getting the hang of naps!
2.She loves eating everything EXCEPT mixed veggies... of which she loves spitting across the room
3.She is crazy about Makray (as he is about her) he loves teaching her to spit raspberries, blow bubbles, and smack her lips.
4,She is about sitting up by herself
5.She demands everyone's full attention and loves to look at herself in the mirror! (true girl)

Holly Jolly Christmas

SO STINKING CUTE!!!!

Violet got her very own pillow pet... she rubbed her little face in its fur and just cooed at it.

Mommy was TOTALLY lovin all over Santa.... Mak wasn't impressed... we have such a good daddy no one even guessed!!!



What are two brothers for.... this is far less dangerous than the activities my brothers forced me into!!!
